Rolls PM351 to Wireless IEM

Hello,

I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this. If any of the moderators think that it should be moved, I apologize in advance.

I have joined a project and we all use IEMs. I love it. I have used IEMs before and I always prefer to in ears to wedges. But this is not what this post is about. I have used IEMs for years, but I had terrible experiences with sound guys. To avoid these issues, I bought a Rolls PM351 to, at least, hear my bass. I have used it for years, but then I stopped using in ears. As I mentioned, I jave joined a project and they all use in ears. I made myself a double cable with a jack and mini jack to just have one cable. I plugged the jack to the pedalboard and the mini jack to the Rolls.

However, in all those years, I have also get used to using a wireless with my bass, so I want to go back to wireless IEMs. I have a Sennheiser XSW. The thing is that I don't want to give using the Rolls (it has saved me so many times lately). What I usually do is to plug the Headphone out to the Mono in of the Wireless. I know it may sound stupid but, is there any better way to connect it? There is some white noise in the background and I am not sure if it a matter of impedance or it is just the way it is.

If you have trouble with sound guys, it sounds like they are in charge of the mix that you hear. If you could custom tailor your own mix, including your bass, your vocals, and the rest of the band, would you even need to use the rolls?

Our wireless digital board has an app that we each get on our phone, that lets us mix our own monitor balance. There is no need for the rolls. The only time I use the rolls, is when I am not playing with the band, and have no control over the monitor signal. Then I use the rolls as intended. As a wired in ear monitor.

The only way I can think of to hear your rolls signal through wireless in ear monitors, is to plug the headphone out of the rolls into your IEM transmitter. This will of course require some type of 1/8" stereo to 1/4" mono or XLR cable/adapter.

When I have the chance to control my own mix I don't need the Rolls, of course. In one of the projects I play we use a Midas board and we use an app. However, in a lot of venues, I don't have that chance. It's be probably better if I keep using my wired IEM

I have seen a video by Scott Uhl to make your own mix with wireless systems. It was for singers, but it gave me a couple of ideas. So, I checked the manual (always read your manuals kids...) and my unit has a very interesting feature called "Focus". So, what it does is, when it is set in Stereo mode, the Focus feature makes it possible to increase the volume of one channel while decreasing the other. So, my bass is in one channel and everyone else is in the other channel.
I know it may sound dumb, but I am extremely happy right now. Now, the Rolls becomes my backup wired in ear system.

I have the same question, I wanna use Rolls the same way I use pedal, just a knob.
I'll try to connect it through headphones out, maybe that will work, love to have control over how loud is my bass in headphones, but don't want to open app, search for bass and to that on tablet or phone.
