This one is soooooold!!! I'll be closing the thread after everything is all set!

Price Drop! AGAIN! and trade request list added!

I got this beauty at the beginning of the year, a few weeks before I ended up quitting the band that I bought it for. I bought it used, and used it for one of my musicals that I play for. Since then it's been in a case.

I talked to Gard when I got it and this is the spec info I received back.

"According to the serial number, this is what you have:

Century Signature 5
Amboyna Burl top
Mahogany body
Natural Gloss finish
Bartolini pickups (custom-wound for us)
Aguilar OBP-3 preamp (an option, the Bart 3-band is "stock")
Wedge neck (would need to see the back to identify all the woods)
Macassar Ebony fingerboard
Diamondwood nut
Black hardware
"

According to the magical bathroom scale, it's about 9.5 lbs

It's an amazing bass, it plays great, sounds great, looks phenomenal! However, I just don't play it, and that's a crime for this bass not to be played.

My #1 hesitation in selling this is the price Gard told me it would cost to replace this when I was insuring it. Basically, there is no way on earth I could afford another one like this!

There have been a few owners before me. This is definitely one of the most comfortable basses I've played, fast and comfortable.

$2̶6̶0̶0̶, $2̶5̶0̶0̶....now $2300 shipped to the 48.

I will entertain trade offers.
I'm only interested in 5 string basses, nothing fretless. Definite possibility in trading up by adding cash, or trading down and receiving cash! Probably the latter, as I could use the money. But if the perfect bass presents itself, I'll find a way to add money.

Basses of interest:
Most PJ 5 string basses on jazz bodies will get my attention quickly

Sadowsky PJ5 (Metro or other) The PJ on the jazz bodies are the best.
Possibly would like to try an Xotic XJ-1T 5
or try Dingwall Super PJ5
A safety pick would be a Sandberg VM5 +$, as I know I like my TM5, but want a P in the neck.

of course I know some of these I'd need a little cash and some I'd need to add cash.

However, I love seeing trade offers so PM me with whatever you may have.

I didn't get a hard case with it. I have one that I will use for safer shipping.

I'm not the greatest photographer, but here are these.

The neck looks like maple/(maybe wenge)/purple heart and the fret boards looks like wenge?

Anyway, what is the string spacing?

Fretboard is macassar ebony. Soo delicious.
Maple and purple heart for neck, but I'm also unsure of third wood.

I'll check on spacing. Pretty sure 18mm. But I want to double check to be sure.

I did a little search where Roscoe mentions 18.3 mm and it looks between 18mm and 19mm on a good ol' tape measure.

So, I would have to say that the 18.3 mm is correct. Almost splitting the difference.

Looks like I have this one's twin. Wouldn't surprise me if the two tops were cut from the same piece of Amboyna.

PM'd ya

I took these while changing strings. Finally got a couple decent pics!

Feel free to drool. Although, it's already 99% spoken for. I'm just waiting on the final yes and she's gone.

That it is! haha, sorry I had to borrow your dining room pic since mine came out so poorly, I hope you don't mind. :-) At first it served me well, and then I didn't have a place to play it...so in a case it sat. That's why it's up here now, it's too magnificent of a bass to not be played!

Bumping it up. Some great trade offers but nothing that's made me go nuts yet.

I'm not exactly opposed to trading down plus cash on other end for anyone looking to upgrade. But it'd have to be something I really would love.
And of course, I'm into trading up +$ too, just can't put in a TON of money to make it happen.

Thanks all!
