This is my last 35” scale bass. My ongoing hand issues have already led me to sell two of my faves - my Roscoe Century Standard Plus 5 RMLE and Century Standard Plus Koa. I had hoped to hang on to this guy a little longer as it is my only 6, but I can no longer play 35” scale so here we are. I got this bass a couple of years ago from another TB-er. It’s one of the nicest playing 6’s I’ve ever played and sounds like a Roscoe should with that solid low B. It is very balanced top to bottom. The bass is also a nice weight for a six - right at 9.4 lbs, but feels lighter somehow. It’s in excellent shape with no real blemishes. You have to look closely to tell that it's even been played. Cocobolo top, Swamp Ash body, 3-piece Maple neck with a Wedge fingerboard. Bartolini pickups and Bartolini NTMB 3 band preamp with mid select. Comes with Roscoe gig bag in excellent shape and Roscoe letter. PayPal is preferred, but I can make other arrangements if necessary. I will split shipping costs with the buyer. CONUS only. As far as any potential trades go, I'm mostly looking for a 5 string with a 34" scale. The 35” scale of this Roscoe is the only reason I’m letting it go. Any trades would need to be on the lighter side - around 9 lbs or less. Trade Options, +/- $$$ as appropriate: - Sadowsky 5 string (possibly a 4) - Music Man Stingray 5 (SR5) or Sterling 5 - EBMM Classic Sabre - Spector 4 - Rickenbacker 4003 Please PM with any offers. {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} LOTS MORE PHOTOS: Roscoe Century Standard Plus 6 by bluesinfidel
Here’s a pic. It’s a killer bass and I’m the original owner. Ive had it for a few months. I’m only letting it go because I need a sixer in my arsenal as I have enough fivers.
@Jdpsounds - take a look at my Elrick. I’d Be willing to looks at a deal if you’re interested. Let me know.
You guys can always PM each other (or the OP). OP, nice looking Roscoe. Tempting, but I have my own reservations about 35" scale basses (for me). Good luck with the sale and take care of your hands.
This is a really nice 6er; very easy to play and sounds fantastic. Anyone who ends up with it is going to be very happy with it If I hadn't gone through a serious fretless phase (which I am still mostly in) this would still be mine. GLWTS!!
All PM's replied. Lots of nice offers, but not quite what I'm looking for. Going to keep this bass up for the weekend, but will probably take it down Monday if it hasn't sold or been traded.
