Right! Let it acclimate for a few days, at least. That’s no time compared to how long it’s been already. It’s home! Just put it somewhere out of sight and forget about it until hump day.

Smart call Ray…. I would err on the side of caution

lol
You boys are bad!
I’m sure it’s fine to be opened now Steve.

In the past, I have let a packaged bass sit for a reasonable time, opened the box and if the outside of the case feels cold I wait a couple of hours and then crack the case and put my hand inside. If it is still cold inside, it is too soon to get the bass out. If it is only cool in the case you should be able to get it out with no problems.

I’m not certain what you are trying to say, Joe, but I hope you are not trying to get Steve to open the box before it’s time?

It's been inside for over 5 hours so far. I'm guessing it'll be fine by later this evening. I'll trust my senses and be patient. If it's tomorrow than it's tomorrow. It wasn't brutally below zero for any of it's trip so that's a plus.

I was stationed at Grand Forks AFB for about 18 months as a security police and worked the alert pads, which was located outside. I don’t recall ever hearing the word “balmy” as it relates to temperature while I was there.
Times have certainly changed.
