I love that top (and of course that classic Spalted fingerboard).
Had both my Roscoe’s out last night. Turned out I only needed the P last night. I added a HipShot D-tuner to get a couple more songs out of her. I’ll do some cropping next time. Sorry.
My backline is a breakout box (that didn't work) and a hazer. Stage sub is for some thump with everyone on IEM's.
I played the Roscoe (with Nordstrand preamp installed) for the first time yesterday. I felt like I had much better note clarity than with the Bartolini preamp.
Bass still has Ernie Ball Cobalt flats.
Two songs at the beginning and two songs after senior graduate ceremony. The 4th tone has some nice low B notes.

Beautiful day in Sebastopol, CA last Sunday. I played with one of my favorite groups doing Brazilian jazz, samba, MPB, etc. This time I swapped in the TD-1 as my preamp and just used the power section of the 1K. Passive TF-112 and active Bag End ELF 18. The Bag End always brings an absolutely solid low end fundamental and the TD-1 brings an even more velvety smooth midrange. My favorite combination now with a 5 or 6.
A TD-1 is the best pre I've ever played through. A big time fave of mine.
FET or Tube? Mine came with an NOS Mullard but honestly I love the FET sound!

My first Roscoe and likely my forever jazz five string. Can I still join the club with a classic series?
Its a passive model that, after cleaning up, polishing frets, putting on flats, setting up a bit, and bonding with for the first time tonight, feels and plays just perfectly. I'll be replacing my active Xotic XJ1-t with this (which is more versatile and arguably equally as good or better, but just different.) Love seeing all of the cool Roscoes in here. I am a sucker for looks and wanted to share my 2am photo shoot with mine in it's hopefully forever home studio.

I've been a fan of the Roscoe Classic series since NAMM 2017, when Keith Roscoe and Orlando Thompson showcased a 5-string Classic J. Of course, I instantly became an Orlando Thompson fan, too. His beautiful playing "silenced" the cacophony of the NAMM hall. It made perfect sense that Orlando played with the likes of Eric Gales at the time.
And, how could one mention Eric Gales without posting a clip? ". . Any distortion in the video image was due to excessive bass emitting from speakers directly in front of me . ."

I have a Roscoe Classic P - my "Pino" bass. Love it. Play it all the time these days. I have a Century 5 as well. Wouldn't mind a Roscoe Classic Jazz but haven't found the right one yet.

I’ve always wanted to hear a fretted Roscoe with the pickup spacing of your fretted. Would sound more wide/big without EQing
