That's one fine looking specimen! Roscoes are some of the most beautiful instruments.

I see by your gear profile that you used to own one. I couldn't help noticing that you've owned some pretty high end gear but your current gear is inexpensive. Why is that?

I would rather buy a used Century for less than that. Sweet looking bass though.

Roscoes are gorgeous. I played one yesterday and was amazed at the workmanship. Too modern sounding for me and the string spacing is too tight on the 5ers for me. Plus the one I played was $2900 which is a tad pricy for a 13th bass.

Good luck finding many used Centuries for less than that, though. An SKB or an LG, sure, but even used, the Centuries (IF you can even find one) seem to go for more than one of these.

Credit Card balances, children, and marriage took care of my high end budget.

I'm happy with my cheapies and an occasional good deal.
