Rosie or Donald?

Since I live in NYC, I'm exposed to this - whether I seek it out or not...

Thing is, Trump is exploiting Miss USA - big time. This young beauty queen from a little town in Kentucky has never even been to the big city before. But she wins the pageant, promptly moves to New York - and starts getting kind of wild...

But instead of handling the situation privately, with some dignity & class - thus allowing the girl to save public humiliation - Trump sees an opportunity to exploit her shame & embarrassment in exchange for even more free publicity for himself. So he trots her out for all the world to see in this big press conference, forces her to confess her misdeeds in front of all the cameras - and then proceeds to pass judgment upon her in public. Donald the Beneficient has decided to spare her. But at what price? I saw part of that press conference. The poor girl was utterly traumatized by the experience...

Rosie saw all of this going down, and simply called him out. And Trump, who is a pompous ass with an ego that is as fragile as it is overstuffed, reacted in typically Trumpian fashion - by hurling a series of disconnected, non-sequitur insults & random name-calling - thus demonstrating convincingly that the truth does indeed hurt...

As far as I'm concerned, he had it coming to him - and it was long overdue. But at the end of the day, it'll simply amount to a modest boost to their respective TV ratings...

I thought the girl was already drawing all kinds of media attention prior to Trump's news conference, which I thought was intended to "answer" all the questions and end the controversy.

Trump's forte is self-promotion. This shouldn't come as a surprise. O'Donnell's is grandstanding....again, no surprise. The eventual cataclysmic collision of two huge egos in a deplorable attempt to one-up eachother for personal gain? No surprise.

The only people I would feel sorry for if they were to both drop off the face of the planet tomorrow are the beneficiaries of their charitable contributions (graciously assuming these are done). They both suck. Suck. Suck. Suck. How about we change the channel next time instead of watching this pathetic cultural trainwreck? As a matter of fact, just turn the damn thing off anytime either of them are on. What does Trump have to offer? The Apprentice. News flash, folks....it sucks. And Rosie? I'd rather drive a nail into myself than listen to her bulbous ill-informed cranium vomit out another opinion on something....or anything. Please stick to singing and dancing, at least I can guarantee there's no chance I'll accidentally hear or see it.

I don't care about Trump one way or the other.

I thought Rosie was way out of line trying to out Clay Aikin. Is he gay? I don't think he ever came out and said so. What if his father was watching the view when Rosie was calling him a fag? She denied being a carpet muncher for years, and got upset when people suggested it, but had no problem telling America that Clay has more than just a hint of mint.
