Honestly....I have never wiped my bass off after playing with my bow. Maybe 15 years now. There is a sticky buildup on the top of the bass. Any idea on how to safely remove it?
There are a few products out there... Both Kolstein and Upton make a cleaner that's supposed to work well. I've also heard Simple Green and citrus cleaners (forget which brand...) are good. If it's really thick, I've read that some luthiers carefully scrape as much off as possible with a old credit card first.
