I have had this bass 21 years and it has served me very well. Sounds great and plays great. It's a fantastic instrument. I sent Keith Roscoe an email inquiring on the details of the bass and this is part of his response:
"...Not fully sure what the top is, hard to say without having in hand. Looks like Spalted Myrtle, Maple or even Burl Buckeye.
I think the fingerboard is Spalted Cocobola or Spalted Brazilian Rosewood.
It is very old and has the old Wilkinson bridge. Those are probably the Bartolini Quad coil pick.
The body wood is Soft Maple. The neck is Maple/Purpleheart/Maple.The current new retail on that bass is $5000 or more."

There are a few nicks and a "dent" (see picture below) from where it got knocked over at the Jacksonville Jazz Festival back in the 2000's. Keith fixed it and it looks ok now.
