Rothwell Love Squeeze Compressor.

I happened to buy this a few weeks ago now, and I 'LOVE' it ;). It's not the cheapest out there, especially I imagine in the USA, but like any really great pedal you will completely forget monetary value when you are in the hands of such a quality pedal as this one (talking both in build quality and sound).

One tip - this pedal can apparently run anywhere between 9-18V Boss style power supply, and I seem to be having a slight headroom issue with this at 9V, so my advice would be to run this higher than 9V to give it enough headroom on bass (I'm thinking that I may give 18V a shot soon).

For what I use it for, which is for subtle string balancing/occasional 'problem fixer', I am still really glad I bought it and as Ovnilabs says, it is extraordinary flat in frequency response. I'm not sure how this would compare with some of the compressors you've been looking at, but to try and help anyway - the Rothwell's trademark features are its insane frequency response and lovely subtle action.

It seems to be just what I'm looking for, flat response and subtle are perfect !

I got it few days ago, to be honest, it's a very good compressor. It's the cleaniest compressor I have heard, but it does lack the traditional "effect" side to the sound. It's not my favorite compressor but I think I will keep it just to practice some clean bass lines.

i built one of these babys from freestompboxes cost me under $50 iam loving it sounds great i modded it so it has a release function on it makes a vast improvement. i also put a variable high pass filter on the side chain pretty happy with that also. Great unit though even better modded.

Had the Love Squeeze for about two years and I can too say that it's by far the quietest compressor around. It's there though. If you disengage it you can tell the difference. I'd say buy it and don't think the cost. Oh and for active basses use an 18v power supply.

Papalampraina, I've had mine about 2 years now to and love it but have only run it at 9v. It's very transparent. What are you hearing/getting out of running it at the 18v?
