Do you mean that this could just be how they are, and the reason may not be that they put the wrong size in the pack? Mislabelling / using the wrong packaging is not great, but at least it's fixable. But if the strings are going to be a different length and tension every time you open a new set, that's beyond crazy.

This is what I meant. I used them for years. Loved ‘em. Then started receiving sets with dead, defective or inconsistent strings, and not just once in a great while. I lost faith in their QC at some point and gave up on them.

But I am glad you found the root cause of the problem and hopefully things are better going forward.

I think I know what's going on, and you were right. I checked my old receipt, and I ordered the 45-105 set but they actually shipped the 40-100 set last time I bought these strings. So what I thought were the heavy set on the bass were actually the lighter set. So I guess this is my mistake here rather than Rotosound's. I will edit the original post so i'm not just badmouthing a company for no reason.
