Rotosound Flat's twist is Too Long.

I just put on some Rotosound Jazz 77 flatwound on my 2008 Fender Amercian Standard Precision Bass.

I found it hard to set up the E string, because the twisted part at the end of the string on the bridge is too long. It's almost sitting on the saddle, therefore I can't move it any more. I had to cut our some of the silk wrapping too.

Any of you had this experience? What did you do? Do D'addario Chromes have a shorter twisted part?

Rotosound is giving me a new E string, which is great. I'm not sure if it will be better. But the customer service really listened to me. I'm happy about that.
