Rousehorn Surname Origins?

Hey there! Random question, but I was wondering if anyone had any idea or notion as to where the name Rousehorn might come from. Its in my family tree but I can't trace it back far enough to Europe so I'm stumped. Again, random question but whatever.

Sounds German to me. It could be an Anglicization of Raushorn. Raus means "to awaken" and horn means "horn," which could be the horn of an animal or a trumpet-like instrument.

Well, if it's German or Austrian, there's a chance someone changed it in the 1940s. It was common for German-Americans at that time to alter their German last name a little bit to avoid being associated with "Nazi Germany".
But if you traced it farther back, then I don't know.
