Running two DIs?

Apologies if this has been covered a hundred times - our search function limits us to words longer than "two" & "DI". And "Stereo" didn't have a direct answer for me....

I'm just getting back to playing shows with a new band & a new rig. I'm running a stereo setup with one channel mostly clean & one gritty as hell, each into 1x12 with time-based effects before the split and a couple afterward. I may as well just clarify it to avoid any of the obvious questions....

I am guessing your asking if it's okay to run two DI's ?
If so...sure, you can do that.

As far as a stereo signal goes that will depend on who is doing sound for you....meaning, does there system operate in stereo or mono.

In my case, it wouldn't make a whole lot of difference if you sent me a stereo signal for my system...because I run it in mono....
