Rupert Neve RNDI query

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knows whether the THRU output on the RNDI is a bypassed signal or processed signal when using the RNDI in instrument mode?

I was going to use it to record a backup unprocessed line signal into my interface in addition to the main XLR output but do they both simply output the same processed signal?

The through can’t feed a line level input, it is hz/instrument level just like your bass delivers.
 
Not quite sure I understand what you are saying.
The "Through" jack is a passive connection. Whatever you feed the "Input" goes directly to the "Through" connector.
The RNDI can take up to +21.5dBu - so it can take line level signal.

I was assuming that - since we are on Talkbass - the guy who asked this question did connect a bass to the RNDI and expected a line level signal coming out of the "through" output. But as you wrote: what gets in gets out, in this case a HZ-level signal.
