Rush concerts = sausage fest?

Gee I wonder why!!! The singer is unbelieveably .............boring, he sounds the same in every song. Nice tight group sorta like a lil Yes! But how many riff patterns can you take as far as a concert goes, not many for me. Great drummer but after 30 mins extremely boring to me, sound like a band you do exercises to. Doc

...I'm guessing you think REM is interesting and exciting...

:rollno:

;)

...if you don't dig it, that's fine, don't. The fans don't really care, and I promise you that the 4th best selling rock band of all time isn't bothered by your assessment either.

:)

(And, by the way, I find REM a good way to cure insomnia...)

I know. Pink Floyd is really unconcerned about your opinion of Rush. Less concerned than you might imagine.

From Billboard

The Beatles 600 million albums sold
Led Zeppelin 300 million
Queen 300 million
Pink Floyd 200 million
AC/DC 200 million
The Rolling Stones 200 million
U2 150 million
Aerosmith 150 million
Bon Jovi 130 million
Chicago 122 million
Eagles 120 million
Bruce Springsteen 120million
Dire Straights 120 million
...
Rush 40 million

When I saw them last summer, they played a video of them back stage and Neil says something to the effect of "I counted 7" and geddy responds "wow, 7 females at a rush concert. That's got to be a record."
Even the band is aware that their fanbase is pretty much all dudes.

Yeah, I saw a similar video when I saw them in May. I thought it was kinda funny. :D

This thread makes me proud to be a female Rush fan! :hyper:

I was at a Rush concert 10 or so years ago and I swear that there were two very attractive girls in front of me two seats to the right that were making out the entire time. Awesome concert and my seats were better than front row.

Got to admit, I saw the posters claim and was a little surprised myself...nothing against RUSH but they have a "ways to travel yet".....

When I saw them in May, it was easily one of the best concerts I've seen. For guys touching the back end of 60, they had so much passion and energy, and put just as much into the last song as the first.

Also, Geddy Lee was incredibly funny at times, and really got the crowd going.

last show i was at i had women on my left, right, in front, and behind me. Three of the four seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Also I believe an earlier poster was confused on Rush being the band with the third most consecutive gold or platinum albums, behind the Beatles and the Stones.

I saw Rush not long ago and there were a LOT of women there.

I was in one of the suite's at the arena with one group and another group was also there. One of them was a very beautiful woman (quite an understatement, believe me), probably in her mid-twenties and she was watching and very much enjoying the entire concert.
