Rusty Kramer (Schaller) Pickups

Let me preface this post by saying I have bought identical Schaller (from the old Kramer factory) P pickups from the seller in the link below (that were not rusty seconds) and they were AWESOME.

He's selling some P pickups that have slightly rusted pole pieces....how badly would this affect the tone of these pickups? Should I shy away from these ones? Thanks!

the rust would probably not affect the tone much if at alll.

FWIW:

I bought one of the double J's and it wasn't an issue. Not unusual to see rust on older pups. The double was in a sealed plastic pack. Condensation maybe, or maybe a crate of 'em floated ashore : -)
