S101 any good for beginners? Any good at all?

Curious if anyone knows anything about a S101 electric bass guitar...
I havent had much luck finding any info on it and i want to know if i got a good deal? Its supposedly 3 years old. Made post about this yesterday and included a pic but I guess I did something wrong because my post isnt in here lol. It came with a small Dinosaur bass amp with strap and patch cord. I cant provide pic now I'm at work but can anyone tell me if the S101 brand name is any good?
Good for beginner? I payed 100.00 for the whole bundle
Any feedback is appreciated thank you for your time!

I have played a couple of S101 guitars and was pretty impressed. I recently purchased an S101 P-bass copy for my daughter and I gotta say, it is a really darned nice copy of a P. It sounds fine and resonates well and holds tune, neck was finished really well with no sharp fret ends, good action, etc. I got it for just under $100 and IMO it is better than a lot of cheap offshore clones. The wiring seems solid and the hardware is better than what i've seen on a lot of instruments in the same price range (I'm guessing $200-250 new but I'm not sure.)

I know a couple of guys on another (guitar) forum were raving about S101 brand copies of the Gibson ES-335 they got when they were blown out at some music store or online retailer a few years back. I don't believe this brand is around anymore but I see them on eBay from time to time.

Of course, even within instruments branded as S101s, there may be some good and bad. This P-copy I got for my kid is better than decent, but there may be some that are made with cheaper components or which are just more poorly constructed. I would like to see a pic of yours for sure.

Hey thanks alot for responding. Really appreciate the feedback man.
I figured for the 100.00 I couldn't go wrong. I know the amp isnt great but for
my 1 bedroom apt. its really all i need. Regardless this will be the axe I will learn bass on
and I'm very excited to get going and so far theres nothing I can really complain about with it.

Thanks again for your time Mudd and the info and links. I will put up a pic or two when I get off work tonight. Take care.

Thanks again for the feedback man. Already having fun, I'm happy with this for a starter and feel privileged to have anything that functions like this at all for the price. Guessing this won't be my last bass guitar and I'm sure I'll do some research before I make a real investment. Thinking this will get me through my bass journey until then. Thanks again Mudd take care
