I played the 2026 Masterbuilt Sadowsky's at NAMM and to say I was blown away by the sound, the feel, the quality would be a major understatement. I don't think I've heard a tone I liked more and I own a NYC Sadowsky Ultra Vintage J5 that is rocks my world and is as good as any bass anywhere. The Masterbuilt was just ridiculously great sounding. Would I pay 10K however? As impressed as I was, not likely. I could probably order a very similar spec in a NYC and it would be closer to $8k. (Which is still a bitter pill to swallow but closer to reality)
