I would love to have the Sadowsky experience under my belt, but I've never played one.
I do own a Mike Lull M5V, which is a chambered-body Jazz-style bass. I was after a little different tone than the original, so my perspective would be, the chambered bodied bass responded fairly significantly to different pickups and preamps. So I don't believe the chamber part of the bass had a very large effect on the tone. Not near as much as the lighter weight on my shoulder!...
I would expect similar experiences with the Sadowsky basses.
