i wanted to change the current preamp in my Atelier Z which is bartolini xtct to sadowsky. Anyone has experience changing their existing pre by themselves? Is it doable? I don't have any experience soldering Since it is pre wired do i still have to solder anything? Pickup connections? Please help

Sadowsky Onboard Preamp

The prewired Sadowsky should not require any soldering to connect the pickups, but you might need to do a little soldering if you want to use your bass's current output jack and battery box instead of the ones Sadowsky supplies (see the wiring guide at [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]). You will also probably need to use a soldering iron to disconnect the pickups from the current preamp.
If you have no soldering experience, it's best to leave the soldering stuff to a pro when working with expensive gear. You can get your soldering chops together on a P Bass with little cause for concern. I've heard too many stories of where enthusiasm outstripped ability with installs like this, and either the parts were damaged, or the person with no soldering skills eventually went to a pro after trying with no success.
