Currently in the process of swapping out the stock non VTC Sadowsky preamp and the stock pickups on my Sadowsky PJ Metroexpress 5 string(2025 non RSD)
with the new updated Sadowsky VTC with the midrange boost option switch. I really like the idea of having this onboard even though the VTC preamp is designed to have Roger's midrange scoop he originally spec'd for these years ago which I like. Its just nice to know that boost is there. I will be updating the pickups to the Sadowsky soft touch PJ Hum canceling/noise canceling Alnico V pups. I will update this thread as everything progresses. Keep in mind that I see nothing wrong with the non VTC onboard preamp that comes with this or the pickups. They are actually pheonomenal. High end is just a tad harsh for my liking. This is more of a studio/live decision to have more options on the fly. The bass will be strung with the Sad Nickels .45-130T. Keep you posted!
