Sakamichi No Apollon

I'm not too sure if anybody on this forum is into manga or anime, but there's a new series that just stopped airing called Sakamichi No Apollon which is about high schoolers during the 1960's, and two of the main characters play jazz together. I highly recommend it to anybody who's familiar with anime and hasn't checked it out already, or if jazz lovers who want to try something new. I also just got the soundtrack which is pretty killer.

Right now, that's my favorite anime! It sucks the season finished so I hope they continue on with this show. The last episode made me teary, I won't lie. Honestly, there's not one bad thing in this anime to comment and I absolutely love the whole Jazz theme!

I agree, it's definitely one of the best anime I've seen! Not only does the whole jazz element make it awesome, but it's also well written and like you said, there are moments guaranteed to make you shed a tear or two.

I finished just yesterday. Apparently, the ending left out a few things from the manga.

Agreed. If you don't know the composer, her name is Yoko Kanno and she does the soundtrack for anything Watanabe directs (ex. Cowboy Bebop). She puts out the greatest material ever and it's mind blowing!
