Salads

I've....Ive got a package of tabbouleh that I've had for probably two years. Haven't known what to do with it. So you just eat it as is?

A package?

It's fresh parsley, bulgar wheat, olive oil, lemon juice.......

I dunno what's in the package, but it's probably slightly rancid cracked wheat......

Get your Palastnian homies to hook you up. It makes a great sammich with a blob of hummus wrapped up in a nice squishy pita. Dammit! Now I gotta go buy a jar of tahini!

I gotta imagine it tasted much, much better fresh. I have the package as part of a gift basket from Melissa's. We've used up everything but this stuff, because I haven't known what to do with it.

Ah, the Palestinian dudes...I haven't seen them in years. I never got any of their numbers, just used to show up and play football with them. Those were fun times

Yes, I find those desirable as well. I find when I am dining out getting pine nuts on a salad to be challenging. Some servers tell me it is not an option, and others look at me with a confused face like they don't know what I am asking for.

Maybe I should just pack around a baggie of pine nuts when we go out to eat.

Dude! It ROCKS! My Arabic mama used to feed me good!

Yay!! Way to go buddy. Spin away. We love ours.

I used to only eat iceberg lettuce, but thankfully my wife showed me some better options. I don't really like iceberg either anymore.

I can't stand iceberg either. Seems to be all you get when you order a salad at most chain restaurants though, and they try to play it up in the description...
"With lush, juicy, tasty iceberg lettuce"
:spit:

I am a lettuce lover, I hardly ever have a meal without it.

My favorites are romaine, green oak leaf, and escarole. If you can get some, dandelion is fantastic.
In winter, endives and mache are the best around here.
When you want some variety, aragula, spinach and watercress are good for a change.
Frisee is phenomenal cooked with potatoes and bacon.

Really not a fan of Bibb. Oh and iceberg needs to vanish from earth. It is an insult to the deliciousness of lettuce.
