Same wireless system for instrument and vocal??

OK--COMPLETE noobey on this question:

I'm needing a wireless lavalier system to work with recording video. I found a decent Peavey UHF system. Can I use the wireless system with my bass as well for practice? I'll need an adapter for the bass, but are there other issues that prevent from using it.

I looked at the X2, but haven't found one used yet. I work at a college and we need to video tape speakers. Having them mic'd will help considerably. VHF is cheaper, but I've always thought UHF was inherently better overall.

As for instrument, using just for jamming or occasional church use. When jamming, I like to be mobile. Having a chord just makes it frustrating in our rehearsal space to move around, get twisted up, etc.

If the Lav mic plugs into a body pack. All you need is a 1/4 cable that plugs into the body pack. All manufacturers are different. The instrument body back cable is sold separately.

I have seen the Shure and Audio Technica cables in stock at some places like guitar center.

VHF is in a freq band more likely to get interference than UHF.
