Sansamp RBI in FX loop??

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by JimiLL, Jul 19, 2009.

  1. Have a Hartke Lh1000 and want to get some grind out of it. Would like the RBI cause it is rackmountable and footswitchable.

Only Ive heard most of you say that they run there units through the FX return and bypass the amps pre section. Im trying not to do this, as I want to go from thick and clean thumpin of the stand alone LH, to the grind of the RBI and back at the tap of a foot.

I know, I know, they do make a pedal. But Id rather keep it in the rack, much cleaner and set up friendly.

    Thanks guys

The RBI would work perfectly for this as they do make a pedal and it I have used it in the exact way you want and its really awesome. Just go LH to RBI to amp and then to cab and go in and out of RBI with the pedal

  3. cool. do they typically come with a footswitch? Ive seen a number on the bay' that come with aftermarket pedals

btw, what kind of aftermarket pedal would I buy?? Just an on/off?? And how does that work?? Is it just a 1/4" line to and from pre amp??

    Thanks

not sure on which one you want but ya any on off would work.

And yes its a 1/4 line from the preamp. there is a very clearly labeled slot for it.
