Satus s2 6 strings > need some comment

Hi to all,

i'm really interessed by this status S2 6 strings :

S2-CLASSIC BOLT-ON NECK

6-string woven graphite bolt-on neck

I just want to know if there is someone here that have one of this wonderfull bass or if anyone have tested it. Just to be really sure before to seriously look for buy it.

Status basses sound awesome and play like the proverbial butter, if you want a modern, thick sound, go for it. It MAY be difficult to get an old school bass sound out of it, though.

I have an S2 classic 4 and it's quite a bass. Great tone and is built to last. If you get one you won't be disappointed.

Amen. My KingBass is a joy to play. I got murdered on the exchange rate, but it was worth every penny.

No balance issues whatsoever. Even on my headed Status Fiver, neckdive is nonexistent.

I agree completely - my Status S2 Headless is a superb instrument, flawless, really, at what it does. But it won't do "vintage" like a traditional design bass. Whatever you do with EQ it has that very distinctive Status tone, albeit in loads of different varieties as regards highs, low, mids.....

No clip I'm afraid - I haven't got round to recording it yet. The nearest I've got is a clip of my fretless Jazz with a Status neck, which would be misleading as it sounds like what it is - a Jazz with a graphite neck - rather than a "complete" Status.
