Saved text in reply box

Sometimes I’ll start to reply to a post and then realize it’s not worth it and I want to post it. If I select all and delete, the text comes back ghosted, indefinitely. How can I actually delete that text? It’s happened that I’ve replied to something else later on and that text accidentally appeared in this reply, which can be embarrassing.

It's unintuitive, but click the old 'floppy disk' icon in the text editor that you'd think would be for saving, and select "delete draft"
