Double Bass Saving the battery on the F-deck

On the latest version 3 - and I 'assume' on the earlier versions as well, its the Output not the Input that switches the battery.
I asked Francis this question a couple of weeks ago. It is the output that turns it on. I leave mine on my tailpiece connected to my PU, with no battery drain. That's because there is nothing in the "out" jack.

Keeping it attached to the bass is probably why the output jack has the power switch. Thoughtful design touch.
