What a great show! I've seen him several times already and, although I wasn't ecstatic over his set list, I was blown away at how good they sounded. The mix was crisp, they were very tight, it was perfect!
At many points during the night it was more like the BTB (Boyd Tinsley Band) than the DMB. He was all revved up last night, and pulled out some sick solo stuff at numerous points during the show.
Carter was just Carter. They had him on the huge screens alot. I love watching him. Ragardless of what he played, even the crazy technical stuff, he had a huge smile on, and was blowing bubble gum bubbles. He was SICK! He's just a phenomonal drummer that I'd never get tired of watching! He makes my jaw drop. Every time.
Stefan alternated all night between his Modulus, a killer sounding Dolphin, and... A Ken Smith! I never knew he used Smiths, and was pretty suprised by that. He was spot on with everything he played, but was pretty reserved. He didn't pull out anything crazy.
The band did a few new, unreleased tunes. They were more pop oriented, like the Stand Up stuff. Great songs, but I see the slow departure from much of the laid down jam stuff of the past. I love Stand Up, but it's not DMB jam stuff like before.
Overall, GREAT show!
