I know it’s SBL clickbait, but this album is a Neo Soul classic and Hubert Eaves IV was killing. For some reason, I never realized that the music on this album was only recorded with a trio. No wonder there was so much space!

I know it’s SBL clickbait, but this album is a Neo Soul classic and Hubert Eaves IV was killing. For some reason, I never realized that the music on this album was only recorded with a trio. No wonder there was so much space!
I never realized it was recorded with a MusicMan StingRay5. He later moved to MTD, as told here….
You know, Norman Hurt is a strange guy. I actually worked with him at a call center in Hampton, VA. Had no idea he was a musician until I friended him on Instagram and saw pics and videos of him playing. He must have been taking a break. I think he's back in NY gigging or doing the church thing. Not sure. Had no idea he was on Badu's album.
