It would seem that Josh was unaware of the short scale Stingray when he wrote that. What else might he be missing?

You can’t rewire it. The pickup is hardwired in series.

In recent years the SBMM line has come with 4 wire pickups that allow you to rewire it to parallel. In fact, I just rewired my new Ray4HH to parallel.

Are you guys sure it’s wired in series?
I e-mailed SBMM a month ago asking if the pickup on a Ray34 could be reworked in series and the answer was no, because the pickup itself is hardwired in parallel.

this what I thought also? Also, is it a alnico magnet?
