This is a new old stock model, so they aren't current production. Not bad considering the Ray2 Intro Series is now $300.

Sold by ProAudioStar. Mine arrived today. The only downside is it was NOT double boxed. Aside from that it's perfect.

I noticed this also . . . I have been on the hunt for a used victim for a fretless conversion on Facebook but this is even better. Pretty sure these have the pickups wired is series but are 4-wire and easily fixed to the 'correct' wiring.

Yes, this model has a 4 lead ceramic pickup. Occasionally, a Ray4 will sneak out of the factory with a 4 lead pickup also. My Ray4 had one.

I'm pretty sure that all Ray4s and Ray5s made in the last 4 or 5 years have all shipped with 4 wire pickups.

Got mine today. Even after bouncing around in a UPS truck all day Saturday and all day today, I can't find any flaws. The set up out of the box is actually pretty good . . . which doesn't really matter for me . . . I'm going to make this a fretless when I get some time. I had been waiting for a used Ray4 with rosewood board to come up on FB for the sacrifice but this is so much better for maybe $50 more than people seem to want for their used Ray4s around here.

. . . wife says, hmmm, are you going to leave the pick guard like that? Ha! I'm not a tort fan either . . . black is always a good answer, but I kinda also like white with the mint . . .

. . . that's a pg from a Ray34 so the pickup cutout around the top is not quite right, but you get the idea.

Flamers gonna flame, but I like tort on 3-tone sunburst... and that's about it. I say we go with the white.
