I'm willing to accept that he just didn't know that little thing about not running tube heads without a load. Every one of us didn't know that at some point, after all.

But if that is in fact the case, I do think that the right thing for him to do would be to edit the first post and say it's not Traynor's fault.
 
True. Jeez with MY 1st amp-an all tube 120 w, I must've run it without a load a fair few times-probly not for long tho.- run it with wrong impedances-lots & any other thing U can think of thats BAD for 'em!!! BUT this amp WAS made in Australia in the Early '70's(a VASE Bassman 120- IIRC) & we all built 'em tough then. ;-)
 
Yes we all need to learn things but don't blame the manufacturer for your not reading the warning on the back of the amp and in the manual to not plug in the amp until you connect the speakers. That is User Malfunction not the manufacturer. So cut Traynor Some slack not the dope that blew up 3 of them because of his own carelesness and then complains about the amp being unreliable.
