Schecter bass bolt on neck or thru body?

I have the opptunity to buy 1 of 2 Schecter 4 string basses. The first is a Diamond Series Elite 4 neck thru body. The second is a Custom 4 bolt on neck. (Wife already warned me NOT to buy both!) I've never owned a Schecter so any advise would be helpful. Just looking for something a lil different to experiment with. The first is $200, the second $300 US.

I own a CV-5. Bolt-on neck.

It’s a very versatile, bass, with a very Fender-like feel and sound. Vintage sounding.
Two Schecter designed humbuckers.
A 3-way selector switch and either pickup can be set to parallel, single coil or series.

Fit and finish are both very good.

I’ve had it almost a year and a half. No problems.
It recently went up to $750. Well worth it.

There’s my sales pictch for the CV-5.

I can’t give you any advice on the two you’re inquiring about, but I’m just saying Schecter Guitar Research makes good stuff.
