SCHECTER ELITE5 POTS

I have a 4 years old elite5...2 vol, 1 bass and 1 treble control
one of the volume controls has stopped working.
Q1...is better to replace all the pots at the same time?
Q2...which pots do I need...250 or 500 ?
EMGhz pickups..is it just active tone control with passive pick-ups ?

I'd say 'use the same as what's in it unless you wish to change the general tonal character of the bass'.

They almost always say 250 or 500 on the pot themselves. I expect it will have 500's in it as I seem to recall my Studio5 of about the same age has 500's in it, but it's an active 3-band. If you want less treble and bite then use 250's.

thanks....what are the general tonal differences between 500´s and 250´s ? does this apply to the tone pots too?

More treble roll-off from the 250's. Will sound mellower... less aggressive... less zing. Yes, applies to tone pots also.

I'd contemplated putting 250's in my Studio5 prior to gutting it and going with all different pickups and electronics, but I never got around to it and just made the jump to all new guts.
