Schecter Omen-4 vs. Stiletto Stage-4

Which one should I buy? I've read people saying the Omen has better build quality than the Stage-4 despite the price, that the Stage-4 has awful electronics, etc. though I've heard the opposite as well. What's the deal?

I'm confused. What's supposed to be bad about the Stage 4 electronics? My son has one. It's super nice. Does active and passive. Insanely playable. I've never played an Omen. It's Schecter, so if it's about the same price point it is probably pretty nice as well. The pickups in the Stage are not bad. Think of a rounder less thin MM pickup.

I'm just as confused as you are. Both pickups on the Stage-4 are MM pickups, which are nice pickups so I don't know why people would say they are bad. I can't find many sound tests on the internet for either basses so it's very hard to make a decision.

I think they're called Schecter Rock pickups. Humbuckers, not very MM like. Not very modern EMG sounding. They're a little pbass like as far as sound goes.

Personally I would play both and see what you like. I like Stilettos, but you might dig the Omen.
