I'm in the process of making this modification to my bass. My service rep at Sweetwater, Bob Mondok, modified the original wiring diagram to show me how to do it. I used paint to clean it up. It uses a push/pull volume pot as the switch. You are basically removing two wires and adding four wires. You can just re-route the existing tip hot output connected to the jack to make this a little simpler. Here's the diagram:

Once he recommends the pot to buy, I will post that info as well, but it should be pretty standard. Hopefully, this well help another fellow bass player who wants the same capability for his Schector Studio Stiletto.
