scratchy sound?

I have an Ibanez SR400 with active pickups, but recently when I adjust my treble or bass knobs it makes a scratchy sound. Can anyone tell me what this is or how to fix it?

Sounds like your pots are dirty. There is something you can spray in them to clean them out but what it actually is escapes me, I know it's not wd40. Ask your local tech about how to take care of it.

1) Sprey in some WD-4o and see if that stops it

IF that doesn't work, then replace the pots. Simple, end of!

A quick google search reveals that WD-40 isnt a very good idea...

I would either buy some pot cleaner, or replace the pots.
