We use a decent Tascam digital recorder at the church. It's about 7 years old, and uses Compact Flash cards for direct recording. Thinking about going SD only, as other gear we have uses that (SDHC/XC).
Anyone have experience using SDHC to CF adapters for audio? I have seen a couple out there, mainly targeted toward camera users, but they seem a little out of the main stream, in that the brands seem off, and some of my regular places don't carry them.
We've recently had a couple of card readers and cards fail due to bent pins and shorts. Not sure if it's operator error, card error, old cards, or what....
