Sealed 4x10's or 6x10's - where are they ?

I did look at some threads that touched on this topic, but wanted to revisit/update the subject.

I feel as if the classic Ampeg tone, specifically the SVT type tone, comes as much from the old school tube/big iron amp, as the sealed 810.

That being said, I don't need, or want, to haul an 80lb head and 100+lb cab around these days .. but I am looking for that type of tone, just in a more portable package.

To that end I am in the market for one of the SVT pro models. My search is currently down to either a 4pro, 6pro or 7pro - with the 7pro leading due to its lower weight.

So that leaves me with the cab choice. I'm looking for a sealed 4x10 (I guess it could be 2x 2x10) or possibly a sealed 6x10 (best example would be the unfortunately discontinued Berg NV610). I know there is the Barefaced option, but those suckers are very pricey due to the UK origination. I am also aware of the Ampeg AV210 cabs, and that could be the way to go here. Could also just add another 115HE to the one I already own, but while I do like the sound of the PF500 through the 115HE, I have come to feel that the HE's are not very robustly built cabs. Mine has started to have buzzes/rattles and seems to require tightening down more than I would prefer. That said, I'm guessing a SVT 7pro through 2 x 115HE could deliver some nice Ampeg tones when needed.

So, TB, where else can I look for sealed cabs to go with some version of an SVT pro, as well as some of my other current amps (Fender Studio, Mesa Walkabout and PF500) ?

This is the PF115he you're talking about that you don't think is robustly built? How about the SVT 410he or SVT 115e? The 410he, in particular, sounds a whole lot like the 810e because it uses the same speakers.

yeah Jimmy, that's the one. It sounds fine with the PF500, but it seems as if I am regularly having to tighten down various fasteners in the cab as it develops resonant buzzes every month or so. Also had to replace the seal on the top (but just the once).

Thanks for the pointers to other sealed cabs in the Ampeg catalog, I'll go have a look.

had that thought too. Already had Don make me a faital pro loaded 2x15 in a Fender Bassman style cab to match the Studio Bass head. Don was great to work with, his work is top notch and very reasonably priced too.

to the best of my knowledge - yes. I read here on TB that Jim Bergantino did a limited release of a NV610T (an NV610 with a tweeter ?) earlier this year, but they are not avail from any of the Berg dealers anymore, although they are still shown on his website for some reason.

Best sounding off the shelf option is the ampeg svt210av cabs but, they lack in the lows. Barefaced retro six10 will probably be the best sounding.
Nv610 whips the pants off everything else and can be bought used here on TB. There aren't any off the shelf drivers that sound any better than what comes in these other cabs, not even as good IMO.

I'm sure the Barefaced 69er or the new Retro 610 would probably be great, but as I mentioned in my original post, they are pretty expensive over here. Price isn't the only consideration, but it is A consideration. ;)
The Mesa Traditional 610 looks interesting, although, like all the Mesa cabs it's built like a tank and subsequently weighs quite a bit (100lbs ?)
I am looking hard in the used market for an NV610 based on all the feedback I have heard on it. I'm guessing it would also work great with my other amps as well.
Guess it will just take some time to get this together.
