Seeing People Online

In the old forum, when looking at responses to threads wasn't there a little green icon next to a members Avatar that showed they were online or am I losing my mind and it is there now and I am missing it?

Anyways, that would be kind of cool addition if it isn't already available.

You can opt out in your preferences:

That's what I thought, mine is unchecked and still showing, to me at least.

Some hours ago, I posted something, the green icon was on, my "Show your online status" box isn't checked.

The green icon is on right now, for me at least, is visible for the others members?

Only you will see your online dot, when the preference is unchecked. I know, it's not very intuitive. But that's the way it's designed.
