In the late ‘60s I bought a Dan Electro longhorn bass guitar from Dan Armstrong’s 48th St. shop in NYC. I moved to Boston shortly afterwards. My apartment’s building had poor security and shortly after moving in my longhorn bass as well as an Epiphone Big Texan were stolen.
As an identifier, Dan engraved my last name in the back of the headstock.
If you have in your possession or have recently spotted a a longhorn bass with a name inscribed on the back of the headstock, please contact me. After all these years and many other basses I would like to find a way to bring this one home.
