Seeking the right Jazz 5er

I am looking for the great white buffalo here. I am a poor boy drooling over sonething I cannot find in my price range. I am looking for a Fender Jazz Bass 5 string that has both Active and Passive modes for $1,000 or under. Anyone have any information on anything like that?

You could always buy a Fender Squier Vintage Modified Jazz V and add the preamp and with active passive switch to your liking .
It is a Fender , just not made in USA.

Otherwise you might have to look outside of Fender family all together and maybe go with something like a Sire.
Happy Bass Hunting.:bassist:

Ok here is where I probablu shouldn't be so picky but.. I for some reason. Hate that they put the smaller tuners all on one side of the headstock. I found a fender deluxe active jazz v in limited natural with the traditional headstock but I believe it is only active
I used to feel the same way...but I stopped caring and I really wouldn’t mind having that surf pearl Jazz V...

Fender Deluxe Active J Bass V - Surf Pearl w/ Pau Ferro Fingerboard

It has noiseless pickups, a Bad-Ass style bridge, and a contoured neck heel. I dig it.

I have a Fender USA Deluxe Jazz V...it is a wonderful bass that has active and passive modes...........As great as it is, its my Number 2 and usually sits in the stand while my Sire V7-5 gets the play (*hint* :D)
