Regarding the bass tuning pegs problem,
I've resolved it making my own specific wooden pegs.
The standart bass tuners was too heavy.

So those are just friction pegs with a locking bar at the nut?

Yes, there's friction pegs, but it's just a string guide at the nut.

You will probably need some kind of buffer to get any output from those Piezos. I don't think the circuit you posted will do that. They're easy to make however. This is a cool build!

@gsnad2000 - The scale length is 52,6 cm a little bit less than 20" 3/4 (Kala 21"). The total length is 81 cm approx 32", much longer than an electric Kala. The reason is, I want more resonating, because there is a piezo disc under the thin top. So the positioning of the bridge should be near to the center of the top.
