Serial Numbers??????

Does Fender put serial numbers on their USA stock pickups only? i'm looking at dropping in a set but want to know if there USA, MIM, MIJ. how can i tell where they're made if they're used. thanks

FWIW:

check vintage bass trading company. To my knowledge it's only the old stuff Fender messed with pup numbers. There's stamped numbers on the bobins of current pups but to my knowlede they don't identify the pup in any form I'm aware of.
