I don’t have much to say here, honestly. I just wanted to make another post about how much I love this drive on the bass guitar.
I think many of us think too much about tiny details in tone that don’t really translate well - or, at least, they’re not apparent to anybody other than ourselves as bassists.
I discovered this pedal like 8 years ago because I was on a mini tour and I decided I needed a new drive pedal. It was priced well (~$70 CAD) and sounded good enough for what I had in mind, so I bought it. I’ve been using it ever since and its become my favourite drive pedal for this application.
There’s no blend, no EQ to speak of beyond than the HP/LP switch and tone knob... It just does the thing and does it well. Despite whatever politics and stuff, it’s just a great pedal and I won’t part with it until the time comes for me to stop playing music - a time which, I hope, won’t be for a good long while.
So yeah. That’s it, I guess. Happy Friday!
