Severe Hum From Bridge Pickup

Hi, I just got a brand new Jackson js concert bass minion js1x. There is a very annoying hum coming from the bridge pickup. If I turn down the bridge volume knob, the hum goes away. Neck pickup is fine.

The bridge pickup is a single-coil, and they hum. See this thread:

Thanks for the reply, and link. It's seems like more hum than I should expect. Perhaps I'll just have to live with it.

I am hesitant to open it until I hear from the seller, I don't want to void any warranty I may have.
