Double Bass Shadow NFX 965 B - but less acoustic sound, help!

Hello!

I have a Shadow NFX 965 B bass pickup, I love it, but there is a problem: when the pickup flags are under the legs of the bridge, the acoustic sound is less, than before. My bass wont have bass tone, I cant hear it, when playing with other musicians.

When I bought the pickup, it was given as an advantage, that it can be easily install on the bass. The only problem, that it is not so good for the bass, always loosing the strings and back.

Can anyone recommend me any soultion how can I leave the flags on my bass, but have the same acoustical sound?

Maybe you should have bought a wing pickup instead.
But that doesn't answer your question.

Interesting that it changes the sound so much that you hear. But we do believe you. I tried the Nanoflex and didn't like it on my boomy bass. It's sound reminded me of an Underwood, and not in the good way.
I'm glad to hear on some basses that the Shadow sounds good.
