Sharing a new bass build

Hey, whether or not it's for me, it's not my bass, it's yours; if you're happy with it it's entirely successful and the "perfect" bass as much as anything can be perfect (i.e., it accomplishes what it's meant to as well as it possibly could).

While it's not my thing I'd have to say that you've done a great job with the ergonomics. The playing position looks to be much more natural than conventional instruments. The travel concept is also very good. Well done.
Looks like a well tuned instrument for how you play. Kudos to you for crafting the design elements to make it work so well for your needs.
Overall, I'm a big fan of headless basses and I have one on order. I still need a more conventional body, though, as it appeals to my vanity!

You've got some really good ideas there and implemented well too. The only things I'd change:
1) use threaded inserts in the neck, and
2) use a truss rod.
The threaded inserts would hold up better than screws into wood for taking the neck on and off many times.
Even though the truss rod would increase weight, it looks like your design would allow the bass to still balance very well even with that additional weight. I feel it would be well worth the ability to adjust neck relief.
