Sharing a new bass build

You've got some really good ideas there and implemented well too. The only things I'd change:
1) use threaded inserts in the neck, and
2) use a truss rod.

The threaded inserts would hold up better than screws into wood for taking the neck on and off many times.

Even though the truss rod would increase weight, it looks like your design would allow the bass to still balance very well even with that additional weight. I feel it would be well worth the ability to adjust neck relief.
